Never limit yourself

Goals are very important. It gives you a sense of direction in which you should strive towards, but don't let that be your limit.

There is a very fine line between accepting the possible, settling for the less, aiming high and dreaming big. It is all very much like a maze that one has to navigate through. Because you don't want to fall short yet you also don't want to try.

Constantly navigating through this maze can sometimes make you feel like you just want to give up...but don't! just because you came across a dead end doesn't mean you can't turn back and make a different turn.

If i have learned anything in Life, it is that you shouldn't just laugh and smile during the good time but that you should embrace the sad and bad times. Yes, embrace the moments, cry, scream, shout, let yourself feel the pain, the hurt the disappointment.

Then you get back up, you take what you have learned and you start again. You can fall down again, it doesn't  matter as long as you get up every time....because if you don't give up....that is when you fail.

I am currently in Grade 7, the other day I felt this overwhelming feeling come over me and I froze. This right before a test. My nerves was a wreck, my mind spiraled out of control, i was completely in the dark. The reality of what lies ahead struck me at that moment, the reality of I need to do and so much more. And yes, i failed that test. That doesn't mean i didn't learn something.

I learned that even thought you know what road you have to take ahead, it doesn't mean you will always completely have the full grasp of it immediately. And that is ok, because you don't know what will be on that road, and that is fine.

What i learned was, that next time i get this overwhelming feeling that crippled me into darkness and managed to control me will not be successful next time. Learning various coping mechanism to control ones emotions and thought is most probably on of the most important thing to learn.

Now I  am focusing on teaching myself to be able to control this, in various ways. Either by taking my mind to a happy place in that moment, taking a few deep breaths, distancing any negativity or bad emotions away from me so that I can be in a peaceful and good space. Thus feeling more relaxed and focused in the present moment that requires  my fullest attention.

This is something I highly recommend you learn from a young age, and I invite you to go on this journey with me. Let us learn together on how we can do this.
